Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Automotive Hardware Design Engineer to join our product development team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, validating, and supporting electronic hardware solutions for automotive applications including instrument clusters, displays, controllers, and sensor systems.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, automotive electronics, PCB development, and hardware validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design automotive electronic hardware from concept to production.
- Develop analog and digital circuits for embedded systems.
- Create schematics and support PCB layout activities.
- Select components and perform design calculations.
- Conduct hardware validation and reliability testing.
- Perform board bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with firmware and mechanical teams.
- Support EMC/EMI compliance and environmental testing.
- Prepare design documentation and reports.
- Participate in customer discussions and technical reviews.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related disciplines.
- 2–5 years of experience in electronic hardware design.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience with microcontroller-based hardware systems.
- Knowledge of power supply design and signal conditioning circuits.
- Experience in schematic capture and PCB design tools.
- Understanding of automotive electronics standards.
- Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Instrument Clusters and Digital Displays.
- Familiarity with CAN, LIN, and automotive communication networks.
- Exposure to EMC/EMI testing and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of automotive-grade components.
- Experience with Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar EDA tools.
- Understanding of DFMEA and automotive development processes.
